About the Cave Canem Community Relief Fund

Cave Canem Foundation is committed to cultivating the artistic and professional growth of Black poets. Since its founding by Toi Derricotte and Cornelius Eady in 1996, Cave Canem has become an influential movement with a renowned faculty, high-achieving fellowship of over 500 and a workshop community of over 1,000. Contributions to the Community Relief Fund help to provide emergency grants of $500 to fellows and faculty who are experiencing financial hardship, especially as the COVID-19 pandemic continues.
